Terms of Service

1. Service Description

SignalSift provides a dashboard that displays analysis of publicly available Reddit content. The Service monitors public Reddit posts, scores them for product demand signals using automated pattern matching and AI analysis, and presents them in a filterable, sortable interface.

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or commercial viability of any demand signal identified by the Service.
• Demand signals are informational only. They are not business advice, market research guarantees, or investment recommendations.
• The availability of Reddit data depends on Reddit Inc.'s public data policies, which are outside our control and may change at any time.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
• Each person may maintain only one account. Account sharing is not permitted.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including the OAuth tokens linked to your GitHub or Google account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account. We reserve the right to verify your identity.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

SignalSift offers three plans:

• All paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days written notice to existing subscribers. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
• Free tier usage limits may change without notice as we refine the service.
• If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and retry the charge. After repeated failures, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SignalSift to:

• Harass or target Reddit users. Do not use demand signals to contact, stalk, spam, or target individual Reddit users identified in signals.
• Build competing products. Do not scrape, bulk-export, or systematically copy data from our platform to build or power a competing service.
• Exceed rate limits. Do not abuse our API or interface with automated tools that exceed reasonable usage patterns.
• Resell access. Do not resell or share account access unless you are on the Agency plan and the shared use is within your organization.
• Spam Reddit. Do not use demand signal data to mass-message Reddit users or flood subreddits with promotional content.
• Reverse-engineer our algorithms. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our scoring algorithms, AI prompts, or proprietary analysis methods.
• Circumvent plan limits. Do not create multiple free accounts or use other methods to bypass subscription tier restrictions.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

5. Intellectual Property

• We own: The SignalSift platform, user interface, scoring algorithms, AI analysis pipelines, and all proprietary technology. These are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• Reddit content belongs to its authors: Reddit posts displayed in the Service are the property of their original authors and Reddit Inc. We display this publicly available content with attribution (subreddit, author, link to original post).
• You own: Your account preferences, custom keyword configurations, and the reports you generate using the Service. You may use report data for your own business purposes.
• You may not: Republish, resell, or redistribute our AI-generated summaries, demand scores, or signal classifications as a standalone product or data feed.

6. Reddit Data Disclaimer

• SignalSift accesses only publicly available Reddit data via Reddit's public JSON endpoints. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Reddit Inc.
• Reddit may change its public data availability, rate limits, or terms of service at any time. Such changes are outside our control and may affect the Service's ability to collect and display data.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to Reddit data. If Reddit blocks or restricts public JSON access, we may need to modify, limit, or temporarily suspend the data collection features of the Service.
• We do not verify the accuracy of Reddit post content. Posts may contain misinformation, satire, or misleading content that affects signal quality.

7. AI Analysis Disclaimer

• Demand signals, scores, summaries, tags, and classifications are generated by automated pattern matching and Anthropic's Claude AI models.
• AI-generated analysis may contain errors, misclassifications, or inaccuracies. A high demand score does not guarantee market opportunity.
• AI analysis should supplement, not replace, your own market research and business judgment. Do not make significant business decisions based solely on SignalSift signals.
• Reddit post content sent for AI analysis is processed by Anthropic under their API terms of service. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• We are not liable for any business decisions you make based on demand signals, scores, or AI analysis displayed by the Service.
• We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of Reddit data.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our maximum aggregate liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

• You can request full account and data deletion by emailing blancoisadev@gmail.com.
• User-specific data (preferences, reports, account info) is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
• Scraped Reddit data is public data and is retained regardless of individual account deletion, as it is not personal data attributable to our users.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or business practices.

• For material changes (pricing, data practices, liability, or rights), we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
• For non-material updates (clarifications, formatting, typo fixes), we may update these Terms without prior notice.
• Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with a material change, you may cancel your account before the change takes effect.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

• EU users: Disputes are handled in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection regulations. You may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
• Non-EU users: You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Budapest, Hungary for any disputes arising from these Terms.
• Informal resolution first: Both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting each other via email. You must allow a 30-day period for informal resolution before initiating legal proceedings.

12. Termination

• By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal or by emailing blancoisadev@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• By us (with notice): We may terminate your account for Terms violations with reasonable written notice, giving you the opportunity to cure the violation where possible.
• By us (immediate): We may terminate your account immediately and without notice for severe violations, including harassment of Reddit users, attempted reverse-engineering, or creating competing products using our data.
• Effect of termination: Upon termination, your access to the Service is revoked. Your user data is deleted in accordance with the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.
• Surviving sections: Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law & Disputes) survive termination.
